Subscription Terms

1. Overview

These Subscription Terms apply to paid plans and trials for Handwrite. They supplement our Terms of Use, which continue to apply to everything else. If the two documents say different things about billing, these terms control. By starting a trial or buying a subscription you agree to what follows.

2. Trials

Some plans begin with a paid or discounted trial. The exact trial length and trial price are shown at checkout before you confirm, so there are no surprises. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into the plan presented at checkout and regular billing begins. Cancel at any point during the trial and you will not be charged again after the trial fee you already paid.

During the trial window, some features carry a daily allowance: currently up to 5 humanizations and 20 chat prompts per day, with each allowance resetting at midnight UTC. AI detection is unlimited throughout the trial. The allowances in effect are always shown inside the product, and they lift entirely the moment your trial converts to a paid plan.

3. One trial per household

Trials are meant to let you evaluate Handwrite once, not repeatedly. We offer one trial per person, household, and payment method. To enforce this fairly, when a trial starts we record a small set of signals: the email address (normalized, so dots and plus-tags on the same inbox count as one address), the network address the purchase was made from, and a payment-method identifier. For cards that is a reference our payment processor derives from the card (we never see or store the card number itself); for Cash App or Link it is the handle or email tied to that payment method.

If those signals show a trial has already been used, for example the same card or the same household starting a second trial, the new trial's daily free allowances are paused. Nothing is deleted and nothing extra is charged: AI detection stays available, and you can continue immediately by upgrading to a paid plan inside the product. If you believe this touched you in error, a shared flat or an office network can look alike to us, email support@handwrite.ai and a human will review it.

4. Upgrading early

At any point during the trial you can choose to end it early and switch to the full plan on the spot, for example when you reach a daily allowance and do not want to wait for the reset. The upgrade happens only when you explicitly confirm it: the in-product prompt shows the plan and the exact amount, and asks you to tick a consent box before anything is charged.

When you confirm, the trial ends immediately, the full plan price is billed to your payment method that day, and your regular billing cycle starts from that date. Daily trial allowances lift right away. The trial fee you already paid is not refunded and is not credited against the plan price. Everything else about the plan, including cancellation and renewals, works as described in the sections below.

5. Renewal and billing

Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel. We charge the plan price at the start of each billing period, at the rate in effect at that time. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge over the following days; if it keeps failing, we may suspend access to paid features until a payment succeeds.

6. Payment method

Fees are billed to the payment method you provide at checkout and handled by our payment processors. We never store your full card number on our own systems. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge that payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Please keep your payment details up to date to avoid an interruption in access.

7. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time in the account area of the members site, or by emailing support@handwrite.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period you are in: you keep full access until then, and you are not billed again. One thing worth saying clearly: deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription. Cancel first, or ask support to handle both at once.

8. Price changes

Plan prices can change. If a change affects your subscription, we will give you at least 14 days advance notice by email or through a clear notice inside the product before the new price applies to you. If you do not agree with the new price, cancel before it takes effect and it will never be charged to you.

9. Refunds

Handwrite is a digital service. At checkout you request immediate access to paid features and consent to us beginning performance during the 14-day withdrawal period. You acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed; where it has only been partly performed, we may retain a proportionate amount for what was already provided. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where the law requires otherwise.

If something went wrong on our side, for example a duplicate charge or paid features you could not access, email support@handwrite.ai and we will make it right. Nothing in these terms limits the statutory consumer rights you hold under the law of the place you live.
